POPKAT CUSTOM ROM FOR GIONEE P4 USERS(rom flashing)

I know they said "you can't eat your cake and still have it"  BUT have you ever sat down and wondered how it would feel like to have a mix of the Android lollipop OS and the Android Kitkat OS on the same phone and same Android platform?




Well I guess your prayer just got answered and you can actually make that fantasy a reality with the lolliPOP/kitKAT  OS tagged the POPKAT CUSTOM ROM  *winks*

Without much ado, We are back with a new custom for the  Gionee pioneer p4 and Primo GH2 and this time it’s the famous Popkat Rom for MT6582 devices. This Rom is originally modded by Neil Edward D. Diaz and we have  just started sharing it with some of our modifications made for the Gionee pioneer p4 and Walton primo Gh2.

We have done a couple of changes to make it more stable and smooth. Some of the  features of this Rom are mentioned below...

**Instructions for those who don't have a recovery yet either cwm, ctr or COT.

#Download this gionee p4 recovery.img and place at the root of your SD card.
RECOVERY IMAGE FOR GIONEE P4

#Download recovery tools{flasher or RASH} from playstore.

#launch recovery tools and click on flash recovery,  it will go into the SD card to access data on it.. Just scroll to where you placed the gionee p4 recovery.img  and flash it...

**it should boot you into cwm recovery mode where you can now start flashing roms  on the phone or even backup the phone...

NOW TO THE ROM FLASHING PROPER.

*Instructions for flashing the Popkat custom Rom.. 

1. Download Rom from the link given below and place it in root of your
sdcard.

2. Turn off your phone and boot into cwm or any custom recovery.

3. Wipe data/factory reset.

4. Now select “Choose zip from sdcard” and flash the Rom.

5. After the flashing get finished, just REBOOT.

6. Done.

JUST DOWNLOAD FLASH AND ENJOY THE MIX OF LOLLIPOP AND KITKAT OS *winks*

*** FOR THOSE UNABLE TO EDIT IMEI ON THIS ROM. FOLLOW THIS STEPS TO TWEAK

*Download mtkdroidtools.exe for pc here :  MTKdroidtools.exe

*download ADB  driver to make your phone driver  installed to pc here: Adb drivers installer

*Now Follow the Steps below Carefully

*Ensure your phone has been installed  the adb driver to  create good connection with  pc.

**Extract and open the MTKDroidTools.exe

**Plug in your phone and be sure you have
already root your phone and have installed
the correct Driver for your phone.

Once you have open the MTK Droid Tools it
must detect the information of your
Device.

**Once it has detected your phone
information you will notice your IMEI will
show there but if you have error it will
not show there and we will use this tool to
restore it.

**Next you need to click the ROOT button so
that it will temporary have Root shell
access on your phone in order for it to
make the script work on the background.
The colour will change from yellow to
green. It will prompt this window to gain
root shell access

**Once you have the root shell access click
the IMEI/NVRAM button and a new window
will show.

**Now all you need to do is put your 15
Digits Blackberry IMEI Number you
generated earlier

** Note: IMEI 1 DENOTES SIM 1 AND IMEI 2
DENOTES SIM 2.
So change accordingly,

Then Press the REPLACE IMEI button and it
will prompt you this window that it will
replace your existing one.

**After that just reboot your phone and your
chinko will turn into a blackberry device
and you can then start enjoy Glo Bis on it!
