First of all rule number which is the most important rule before embarking on upgrading your infinix  hot note or hot  note pro to Lollipop version is that you must not be on custom Rom  and also the phone not rooted meaning you gotta be on stock Rom original version or else you are heading for a big heart break with a high likelihood of your infinix Android phone getting bricked..

What are the things you need to have.....

 * a stock rom  for the infinix  hot X507 {only}......  INFINIX HOT STOCK  ROM

 * a stock rom for the infinix hot note pro X551 {only}.....  INFINIX HOT NOTE PRO STOCK ROM

*Note that the only thing or the essential thing we need from this stock rom is just a small file known as the scatter file with a file name like scatter.txt  and most times not up to 20kb .. So you can save yourself the stress of downloading a full stock rom if you can get an original scatter file of any of the above phone models that's compatible with your phone.

Once that is done,  just follow our basic guides as posted way back in flashing back a stock romeo an android phone with  the use of Sp  flash tools....  LINK BELOW

HOW TO FLASH UPDATE OR UNBRICK ANDROID PHONES USING SP FLASH TOOLS

You can also download the full version of the files needed here and also follow the pictorial to guide illustrations and Have the phone flash back to stock rom easily within minutes.

REQUIRED TOOLS.

  • USB data cable
  • MediaTek USB VCOM drivers{Google the download links}
  • SP Flash Tool ( Latest version MTK Flash Tool v. 5.1343.01 (18.10.2013)){get the updated versions online}

  • First of all, make sure that you have MediaTek DA USB VCOM drivers installed.

And you might have to manually drive the mediatek vcomm devices to your hardware programs.. {steps.... START==CONTROL PANEL==DEVICE MANAGER==MANUALLY ADD NEW DEVICE AND SELECT THE MTK VCOMM DRIVER

**Flashing the whole ROM
  • First of all open SP FlashTool, then click Scatter-loading button to load the correct scatter file

  • Turn off your phone, remove the battery and replace it after some seconds (and don't turn on the phone).

  • Press F9 (or hit Downloadbutton) and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
The process will start and a red progress bar will appear.

  • After the red progress bar is complete, there will appear a purple progress bar.
  • Right after the purple progress bar is complete, a message will appear underneath it:
Please insert USB cable in x seconds” and then the download will start right away (you will see the yellow progress bar filling up).
  • When the yellow bar is complete, you'll get a popup with a green circle andDownload OK message,
which means that the process has been successfully terminated.
  • You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on. The process ends here.
Flashing only part of the ROM
  • In case you want to flash just one part of the ROM, that is also possible. In the shown example, onlyrecovery image will be flashed.
Deselect all parts except the one(s) you want to flash and then press F9 (or hitDownload button).
  • The tool will immediately show a warning because not all parts are selected, but you should continueanyway. Safely press Yesto continue.
  • The download of the chosen partition image will start and after the yellow bar is complete, the popup with the green circle should appear.

  • Please note that, even though it isn't mandatory to select it on the list of images to flash,
preloader file must be present in the same folder as the other partition(s) that you want to flash, or else phone will not be able to enter into downloadmode.

Attention: Please follow the instructions carefully. I will not take any responsibility on whatever may happen with your phone.

Very important warning: Always make sure that you trust the sources of the ROM you download and know that it is meant for your phone.
After flashing a wrong preloader, your phone will be completely dead (can't be powered on, it will not charge and won't be detected anymore by the computer) and there is no way to recover it.

So now that you have been able to flash your stock room back to the Android  phone and in particular the infinix  we are talking about....

WHAT'S NEXT......

* Simply when phone boots up and you are ready to update/upgrade your Android phone version...

* go to SETTINGS.... About Phone..... Then look for system or software updates.. Click on it while it loads up the Android lollipop updates available...

Just wait till it finishes downloading and that's pretty much it..

You can now get the best from your infinix phone on the latest Android lollipop update with no stress...

{once again avoid updating the phone if your phone is rooted ooo}..

Best of luck.... Hasta  lavista...
