One of the most important ingredient needed at any point in time by anyone who has been unfortunate enough to have their phone way or another bricked is the "scatter file" of the particular phone model stock rom.  It's quite small but performs wonders because without it,  chances of bringing back your dead phone to life is close to non existent.  Normally quite small in size in fact typically less than 100kb... {you can basically do quite a lot with your stock scatter file}  this is why it's important for you to find a way to have it in store for the raining days when your phone decides to finally act up...

Note: Asking someone to get you their own scatter file might be counter productive at some point in time especially if you end up flashing a scatter file that is not of your own particular firmware {from frying pan to fire scenario you would have gotten yourself o}..

So below is just the basic steps of creating your own scatter file in couple of minutes on your mtk smartphone using mtkdroidtools.

You need:

Steps:

  • Step 1 - Enable USB debugging on your smartphone in settings - developer options.

  • Step 2 - Install the VCOM drivers manually or with PDA net

  • Step 3 - Download, extract, and run the latest version of MTK Droid Tools. (run as admin!)

  • Step 4 - Your phone should be on at this point. Connect the data USB cable to your phone and wait about 10 seconds. Eventually you should see the phone's information come up.

  • Step 5 - Click 'blocks map'. A new window should open with all your phone's block information and where each portion of your firmware is stored on ROM.

  • Step 6 - Click 'create scatter file'. Navigate to where you want to save it. Save it in a place where you won't lose it. If you need it for flashing firmware, save it in the folder of the firmware. If you need it for flashing a recovery, save it in the folder with the recovery.

Now you can use your new created scatter to flash your smartphone with sp-flash tools
